"I am against having this casino in Lynwood. We have
enough problems and do not need gambling to add to them."

"I just recently moved to the city
of Lynwood. I found about the casino plan after I moved. C4C's
billboard on 394 caught my attention to say the least. Had I known
about the casino plan before we moved I never would have come to
Lynwood. What drew me to this area was the serenity and "calmness" of
Lynwood. It seemed a wonderful place for my wife and myself to raise
our children. And I believe it still can be if this plan is thwarted.
I stand in full support of C4C's position and plan."

"A casino in our town can only mean
one thing. It means the destruction of small town families who make
their livings in hard working, honest ways. This casino is a slap in
the face to all south suburban residents. "They" claim we have
nothing to offer and that we have very little economic growth.
Perhaps "they" should visit our small towns and see the growth of
families and faith that we have. The beautiful corn fields and forest
preserves seem to be extinct in other places. We provide a charming
atmosphere that welcomes new families. A casino, its flashing lights
and its playground of immorality, tears apart the hardwork of our
ancestors. We should care more about our children and the life that
they will grow up in. We should be building schools to support the
development of our community. Perhaps a church to help foster the
development of our faith. What about libraries or community centers
that offer safety and stability for all people of a community. A
casino in our beloved south suburban area is not welcome. It does not
foster development, support our faith, provide safe grounds or
stability for community members. It's time that we all make a stand
against this destruction and prove to these people that we are not a
done deal." Lansing, IL
